Here at Dr. Langberg’s office, we love giving back to the community and supporting local businesses at every opportunity. With this in mind, here is a collection of some of our favorite places with the food we recommend to eat for our patients when they are in treatment and also finished with their braces or aligners.
Bobo’s Cafe — 32 Danbury Road — A Westchester (and now Ridgefield) favorite, Bobo’s Cafe is right across from our office! They serve breakfast and lunch, are open 7 days a week while offering smoothies, bowls, waffles, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. We love “The Number One” (bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant), “Bowl Pack” (Scrambled Eggs, Sweet Potato, Goat Cheese, and Corn Salsa), and the “Schmelt” (chicken or tuna salad, tomato and swiss). You can order ahead on their app to pick up and eat inside or on their outdoor patio.
Gyro on Pita — 91 Danbury Road — Sister restaurant to local Ridgefield favorite Dimitris (one of our favorite places to take the family). Offering delicious Mediterranean specialties including the “best homemade gyro around,” souvlakis, famous Greek lemon chicken soup, spinach pie, hummus, and babaganoush with pita. Dine-in, carry out, delivery, and catering available. Open 11-8 daily, closed Sundays.
The Lantern — 378 Main Street and 59 Ethan Allen Highway — Recently opened in 2021, an “American-style” gastropub serving lunch and dinner Tuesday thru Sunday (closed Mondays). We recommend the Pulled Pork Sliders, Mac-and-Cheese, “The Local” Salad is uniquely delightful (micro arugula, borage and cabbage grown locally, cucumber, toasted sesame seed, goat cheese, and blueberry balsamic dressing). Mannen — 15 Danbury Road — Within our courtyard, this local Japanese and Chinese restaurant is very family-friendly, offering eat-in, take-out, online ordering, and delivery. The sushi is scrumptious. Any meat, seafood, vegetable, and rice, or noodle dish is good for a soft bite. The hibachi dining is always a fun experience. Planet Pizza — 411 Main Street — One of 9 family restaurant locations in CT and a longtime favorite of our patients for pizza by the slice and pies. We recommend any of their daily lunch specials, Pasta Fagioli, Penne Vodka, Boneless Wings, Baked Ziti, Tuna Salad wrap, and Zeppolis (for dessert). Eat-in or dine outside on Main Street. Prime Burger — 449 Main Street — “Ridgefield’s Own” burgers are available to eat in, carry out, or get delivered. They use the same high-quality beef, all-natural chicken, turkey, and fresh salmon they sell in their butcher shop (Ridgefield Prime). Burgers are ground fresh daily right in the restaurant. Everything is delicious here, but we recommend the burgers or grilled cheese and don’t forget to wash your meal down with a milkshake. Website: primeburgerct.com
